Mike Ashford is Director of the Water, Energy and Sustainable Cities (WESC) Practice at Chemonics International, Inc.  In that role, he manages company-wide the technical and professional resources for Chemonics’ international service delivery regarding power, water and municipal services.  Mike has 20 years’ experience in clean energy with a focus on project development and reducing development risk through innovative financing.  Before joining Chemonics, Mike helped launch a clean manufacturing technology company, leading the business planning and venture capital raise during its start-up phase.  Mike’s work has taken him to more than 15 countries as a technical expert for USAID, the World Bank, and the International Finance Corporation, as well as numerous private and non-profit organizations.
