Chalker Co-Founded GridX in order to focus on servicing the power demand of commercial and industrial power consumers across Africa and to update the conventional utility-scale approach to power development in Africa. Chalker has led successful fundraising and project development processes from inception through to closure. Chalker is an American national that has spent several years living and working in Africa, successfully developing renewable power projects in Kenya, Tanzania, and Mozambique. Chalker’s background bridges the gap between global capital market investment appetite into African energy and operating on the ground to develop bankable power projects to financial close.
